VORTEILE DES RIM-PROZESSES:

Reaction Injection Molding Process consists of the injection into a mould of two liquid components that, when mixed, react to polymerize, to produce a material with predetermined structure and properties.

Reaction Injection Molding has some advantages when compared to other processes.

Benefits:

  • Low mould construction costs and easy payback;
  • Moulds made of aluminium, and resin, among others;
  • Low production costs
  • Low energy consumption;
  • Productive capacity to produce more complex parts, with different geometry and more detailed characteristics;
  • Capacity to produce large variations in thickness;
  • Possibility of adding fillers to increase the resistance of the pieces;
  • Use of various types of plastic;
  • Ease of moulding with inserts;
  • Easy to change the design – colour, texture;
  • Low production times – high efficiency.

It should also be noted that reaction injection moulding allows parts to be produced efficiently and effectively, as the parts are practically ready once they have been removed from the moulds.

Nowadays, it is also a process used by most companies because it is ecologically advantageous. It is possible to reuse plastics, so there is almost no waste left behind, and energy costs are also lower.

It is, therefore, a process selected by many companies.
